The perils of dial-up
Just a quick post to to illustrate that I am alive. I have been battling dial-up access for the last week and it is causing great detriment to my blogging capabilities. Right now I'm in London using a computer at the King's library. The last week has been interesting to say the least. I caught a case of the flu which made moving out of my apartment even more hellish than I had planned on. Since moving home I have not heard anything on the job front but have spent a lot of time catching up with friends and getting my life somewhat in order.
New Year's was at Josh and Elisha's place with "the gang". I will post some photos one of these days when I can get a good enough connection to do so. Last night I went and saw Night At The Museum which was very enjoyable.
Because I have no photos or anything really fun to contribute today, I'll leave you with a site about the history of book burning. My challenge to you is to go and explore some banned or challenged books through a list of the 100 most challenged books (1990-2000), and tell me which ones you have read! I was happy to see that I've actually read a lot of the ones listed but now I have some ideas for others to pass January with.

Susan! I hope that you are feeling better. Next time you are in town let me know. We need to catch up! (ooh, and Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore is hiring a couple librarians... liason/instructional and cataloguer ... intriguing...)
Wow. I have read FAR too many of those books (at least 20+)! And some of them are some of my favourite books! So strange...
