Happy Hallowe'en!

Today was dedicated to the celebration of one of the best holidays around. I started the day with a not so spooky continuation of job applications, and then headed out to see Lora and Hayden. We read lots of books, Hayden jolly jumped, and I had the chance to admire Lora's new haircut which is pretty fab. I'm excited about upcoming changes in the new year, but days like today make me a bit sad about the little things I will miss out on when I go.

Elisha and Josh welcomed me tonight for pumpkin pie and candy, and let me give out treats to their trick-or-treaters. They had a lot of kids since they live in a nice suburban type 'hood. Their dog Jack was dressed up as a bee, but was pretty overwhelmed by the whole idea of strange people showing up at his house every couple of minutes. When the candy ran out after about 75 guests, we moved it to the basement (lights out, of course!) and watched some Beverly Hills 90210. Enjoyable episode about Brenda finding a diary from 1968, and her successive trips to the library to learn more about the era and to track down the writer of said diary.I drove back home via Richmond Row, but since it was still quite early I didn't see a lot of stiletto clad Western girls in costume which frankly, was just fine by me. Sometimes I wonder about the kind of psychological damage that I'm sure was imprinted on me by having done my undergrad at this school. Four years of seeing stilettos trump brains and good personality leaves its mark its on a girl!
